My first reading challenge
I’ve never participated in a reading challenge before. I don’t count GR reading challenge since I mostly use it to track books I’ve read. But when I saw this beautiful sheet on Waves of Fiction last year I couldn’t help myself.
I want to say a big thank you to ladies from Waves of Fiction. This challenge pushed me to finally read 2 books that were on my tbr-list for a very long time: If I Stay by Gayle Forman and On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. Needless to say I loved both.
There are also three books that I want to highlight: The Girl You Left Behind and One Plus One by Jojo Moyes; Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. Each one of these books has a special place in my heart.

Oh gosh, it’s been so long since I’d read If I Stay but I loved it too Ksenia. Are you going to the companion book too, think it’s Where She Went. I actually loved that one even more so. I love Melina Marchetta, but Jellicoe Road and I have never been able to.make it past the first few chapters. It feels really confusing. I’m probably due to give it another go soon. Well done on your first official challenge. HOORAY! I’m doing a similar one through The Girly Geek, like a bookish bingo. You should check it out <3
I’m thrilled you did the challenge, too, Ksenia! I don’t know where Arlene got the idea, but it was a wonderfully varied list that made me read books that I probably wouldn’t have normally. I also read Big Little Lies for my Aussie Author category and Hero for my One Word title. I’m so happy that you picked up Once Upon a Rose as part of the challenge and On Jellicoe Road as well! I need to ask Arlene if she has another challenge in mind this year. It was fun! 🙂

This sounds like a wonderful challenge Ksenia! I of course loved On the Jellicoe Road and If I Stay, so I’m glad that you finally gave both books a go and ended up loving them, I really need to read more of Moyes books, after I loved the two I’d read by her previously!
