I have nine favorite books to share with you today, and eight of them are contemporaries. What can I say? I love contemporary. I like romance with swoon, chemistry, emotions and a little bit of angst. I also prefer books with a strong family presence.
There are two books that stand aside in this list: The One Plus One and Big Little Lies. They are what I call “lighthearted and funny stories about problems in our lives”. Both books rise difficult and depressing topics, but Jojo Moyes and Liane Moriarty manage to do it in such uplifting manner. I’m actually interested to read more such books, so if you have any recommendations please tell me in comments.

Yes, I love The Return so much, and it’s great to have paranormal NA. I’m reading The Power next week and can’t wait.
Frisk Me I didn’t love, but Steal Me is a different story. I hope you’ll enjoy that one!
I still need to try a Laura Florand book… so many of my friends love her. 🙂
I need to read Big Little Lies and Hero!
